What's in your Pilates?

Friends don't let friends do faux-Pilates

Pilates becomes more popular as word spreads about its remarkable effectiveness: celebrities, physical therapists, and athletes swear by Pilates for good reason! But as Pilates has gained popularity, it's also gained "knock off" versions. So how do you make sure the Pilates you're getting is the real thing?

Pilates Is Not "One Size Fits All"

At CORE, your Pilates session is tailored to you. Customized instruction is essential not just for preventing injury, but also for meeting goals. At CORE we understand that no two clients' bodies or goals are the same. Whether you're training for a triathlon, slimming down for a big event, or rehabilitating from an injury, our expert instructors have the experience and specialized training to guide you.

Your Safety Is Our Priority

Many of our clients discover CORE after an injury- often from group classes! No matter how good an instructor is, no one can safely monitor 10 students at once. That's how injuries happen. At CORE, we specialize in one-on-one instruction and we don't do large classes. Because we prioritize individualized attention, the largest group you'll share a semi-private session with is 3 other clients.

Organic Versus Fast Food

Maintaining your exercise goes hand in hand with maintaining your diet. We know better than to believe the instant gratification promises of fast food: it's quicker and cheaper, but it's unhealthy and can't compare to a homemade meal. Big Pilates studios with group classes may promise instant results at cheap prices, but as with fast food: cutting corners comes with a long-term cost.

At CORE, not only do we guarantee you'll feel and look better within your first 3 months of regular visits, we also guarantee sustainable, long-term results. Many of our clients have been with us since we first opened more than a decade ago!

Expertise Matters

When you enjoy a meal out, who would you rather prepare it: a minimum-wage cook or a respected chef? We pride ourselves on our reputation for excellence. Atlanta's best doctors and physical therapists entrust their clients to us. CORE is comprised of the best professionals in their fields and incentivizes continuing education. Our multidisciplinary team works together to best serve each client with our collective expertise. Our instructors' breadth of experience spans from professional dance and athletics to medical training.

Unlike big box gyms and chain "boutique" studios, CORE has rigorous standards to ensure each client experiences the highest quality workout Atlanta can offer. Whereas franchise teachers can have less than 100 hours of training, most CORE instructors have more than 10,000 hours of teaching experience from comprehensive, classical Pilates teacher training programs. Combined, our small team has taught more than 75,000 sessions, and that number grows every day. Most of our instructors teach at least 2 of our 3 movement methods. In addition to their certifications, they've pursued specialty education ranging from pre- and post-natal Pilates to GYROTONIC® for golfers, and everything in between.

It's a big decision to trust a studio with your wellness. Rest assured, CORE is the real deal.
