CORE Gyrotonic Expertise

As the first fully-equipped Pilates and Gyrotonic studio in Atlanta, CORE offers a complete toolbox and skilled instruction to keep your workout interesting and challenging.  Whereas Pilates equipment is spring-based, Gyrotonic equipment is weight-based.  Together, they offer a comprehensive approach to address your core needs. 

  • GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® - Unlike more limited studios, CORE incorporates the while Gyrotonic system of specialized equipment, including the Gyrotonic Pulley Tower, Leg Extension Unit, Archway, Jump Stretch Board, and Gyrotoner.  This full suite of tools makes it possible to address a broad spectrum of client needs.  Whether you’re a novice who needs a gentle start on the Pulley Tower, a Pilates aficionado who incorporates the Jump Stretch Board to further challenge your core strength, or a high-level athlete taking your training to the next level with the Archway, CORE has what it takes.
 
  • In GYROKINESIS® classes (using mats rather than apparatus), we systematically stretch and strengthen your body by performing rhythmic and fluid yoga-based movements while sitting, lying down and standing.  Special breathing patterns combine with movement to stimulate your internal organs and energy system. You’ll feel like you’ve had a simultaneous workout and massage.
 
  • CORE Gyrotonic instructors have studied with Master teachers, completed apprentice teaching, and are certified to teach Gyrotonic movements.  All CORE instructors complete annual continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
 
  • No one format is right for everyone. At CORE, you have a choice of private instruction, duets (1 personal trainer to 2 clients), small groups (3-4), and Gyrokinesis classes – a mat version of Gyrotonic exercise.
